Render PDF pages as lossless PNG files

Create crisp page images for diagrams, interface captures and documents where pixel accuracy matters more than the smallest file size.

PNG keeps rendered pixels intact

PNG uses lossless compression, so repeated opening does not add JPEG-style artifacts. It is a strong choice for PDF pages containing small text, line art, charts, interface elements or flat-color diagrams.

Expect larger filesPhoto-heavy PDF pages can produce much larger PNG files than JPG. Choose the format according to content rather than assuming lossless is always better.

What conversion preserves

The visual appearance of each successfully rendered page is captured as pixels. PDF.js handles the page inside the browser. Searchable text, hyperlinks, forms and vector editability do not remain in the resulting PNG image.

PNG versus JPG

Use PNG when crisp edges and lossless pixels matter. Use JPG for smaller photo-heavy page previews and easier sharing. Both workflows create one image per page and can package multiple results in a ZIP archive.

Browser resource limits

High-resolution pages and long documents use significant memory. If a large PDF strains a phone or tablet, process fewer documents at a time on a desktop browser. Password-protected or malformed documents may not render.

  1. Select a PDF.
  2. Wait for local page rendering.
  3. Download PNG pages individually or as a ZIP.

PDF to PNG FAQ

Does PNG keep PDF text searchable?

No. The page becomes an image, so text is represented by pixels.

Why is PNG larger than JPG?

PNG preserves pixels losslessly, while JPG discards some visual information to reduce size.

Is conversion private?

Yes. Rendering and export happen in the browser without uploading the PDF to GetResizer.
