Rotate an image to any angle

Straighten a tilted photo, turn an image left or right, or choose an exact angle while the source remains on your device.

Choose exact rotation or a quarter turn

Quarter turns are best when a camera orientation is wrong: rotate 90 degrees left or right until the image is upright. A custom angle is useful for scanned pages, horizons and product photographs that need smaller corrections.

Check the new edgesRotating by an angle other than 90 degrees changes the rectangular bounds. The exported canvas grows to preserve the full image instead of clipping its corners.

How browser rotation works

GetResizer draws the decoded image onto a new canvas, translates around its center and applies the selected angle. This changes pixel placement but does not upload the source. The preview shows the resulting orientation before export.

Keep quality under control

Rotation itself does not add detail. For photos, choose a suitable JPG or WebP quality and avoid repeatedly reopening and resaving a lossy file. PNG is useful when transparency or sharp interface graphics matter.

Rotate, crop or flip?

Rotate changes orientation around the center. Crop removes outer content and can improve framing. Flip mirrors the image horizontally or vertically. Use the tools separately so each change remains intentional.

  1. Select a supported image.
  2. Choose a custom angle or a 90-degree control.
  3. Inspect the preview and download the result.

Image rotation FAQ

Can I rotate without losing the corners?

Yes. The output canvas expands for arbitrary angles so the full rotated image remains visible.

Does rotation reduce quality?

The transform is rendered once. Final quality mainly depends on the selected output format and compression setting.

Is the image sent to a server?

No. Decoding, rotation, preview and export run locally in the browser.
