When JPG is the right PDF output
JPG is convenient for photographs, previews, thumbnails, slide images and platforms that do not accept PDF documents. It offers broad compatibility and adjustable lossy compression, which can keep page images smaller than PNG.
How local PDF rendering works
GetResizer uses PDF.js in the browser to decode the document and draw each page to a canvas. The canvas is then encoded as JPG. The original PDF and rendered page contents are not uploaded to GetResizer.
Choose a practical quality
Higher JPG quality can preserve small text and diagrams but increases file size. For photo-heavy pages, start near 90%. For screenshots or pages with very fine type, compare JPG against the lossless PDF-to-PNG workflow.
Multi-page documents
Each page becomes a separate numbered image. Download pages individually or use the ZIP option to collect all results. Very long or high-resolution PDFs require more browser memory, so smaller documents are more reliable on mobile devices.
